Thumbs Up

From the AP: Roger Ebert is in "serious but stable" condition after emergency surgery following complications from the removal of a malignant growth on a salivary gland last month.

I can't really say I know the man, but we've met once or twice, and engaged in friendly arguments for the better part of a decade now. And I'm sure this is not the way he wanted to spend his Fourth of July.

Anyway, I just want to wish him a speedy recovery, if only so I can get another chance to explain why his constant confusion of "pan and scan" and "full-frame" is hurting America.

All the best to Ebert, and I hope we don't have to watch 'Dark City' again when he recovers. Really, really hoping...
