A Brief Political Aside

Don't you feel safer?
Hey, remember that plot to blow up airplanes last week?

You know, the big one? The "body count worse than 9/11" thingie? The one that sent the American terror-alert mechanism into overdrive? The one that now requires us to discard our bottled water, contact-lens solution and insulin at the gate if we want to get on the flight?

... um, yeah, it now looks like it kinda wasn't real. Or at least nowhere close to readiness. You know, like ... like theoretical. Like someone boasting in a chat room, maybe.

Much like the scare in Miami earlier this year, with the twerps who wanted to blow up the Sears Tower, but didn't have explosives, weapons or a way to get to Chicago.

Much like the closer-to-home shocker back in June where 17 idiots were talking about storming the CBC, blowing up unidentified landmarks and maybe beheading Stephen Harper. They didn't have the means to carry out their plans, either.

Terror's all over the news, isn't it? You'd think it was an election year or something.
