Exhaustion

On Wednesday night, I arrived at the wrong theater for a press screening.

This isn't good.

This usually doesn't happen until the second week of the Festival proper, when I make that leap of faith every journalist makes around that time -- that the movie will be playing where I think it's playing, at the time I believe it to be playing.

Most of the time, it works out -- partly because the Toronto festival scheduling is so reliable, and partly because anybody who's done more than one festival knows to show up at least 20 minutes before the screening starts, in order to get a decent seat; it also builds in a fail-safe if you show up at the Varsity when you're supposed to be at the Cumberland, or vice versa.

The festival doesn't start for another 12 days, and I'm already screwing up. On the upside, I managed to get
to the proper theater in time for the screening -- which was "Idlewild", about which more here -- but this is not a good sign.

Blog posts will probably become somewhat irregular over the next few weeks. Just so's you know.

But hey, at least I'm still doing something I love, right?

Right?

(Still having trouble loading images. Not sure why. Will work on it.)

UPDATE: Got it!

Idlewild sucked? That's so too bad. I really wanted to check it out.
