George A. Romero and Martin Landau both died yesterday. Romero was 77, Landau 89. I wrote about both men for NOW.

By all accounts both men were lovely to work with and charming to know. I only ever met Romero, but if Landau was anything like him we’ve lost two of the nicest people on Earth.

And also the tallest.
