Links Ahoy!

I should have posted these yesterday, but things have been a little frantic this week.

Here’s this week’s NOW screening spotlight, in which executive director Tendisai Cromwell brings us up to speed on the Regent Park Film Festival — already underway, and offering a pretty great lineup of films in its 16th edition. And here’s this week’s Superhero Nonsense! column, which of course takes a breath to consider the legacy of Stan Lee, who died on Monday and left behind an entire universe of heroes.

I’ve also got a Q&A with Sean Anders and Maraide Green — who are, respectively, the director and co-writer of the new dramedy Instant Family and the young woman who helped make it feel as authentic as it does. It’s an odd little movie, and kind of a surprising one. You should check it out.
