You all know how much I love The Thrilling Adventure Hour, right? It’s how I discovered the genius of Marc Evan Jackson way before he made it into the sitcom mainstream, for one, and it was absolutely wonderful to discover, a couple of years ago, that one of its co-creators, television writer and producer Ben Blacker, is a fan of my own little thing.

Thus, it was only a matter of time before I roped Ben into an episode of Someone Else’s Movie, and he brought it: We talked about Joe Dante’s marvelous, preposterous blockbuster Gremlins, and about all sorts of related pop-culture stuff,  and it was a goddamn delight.

This is a really fun one …. and because Ben was so generous with his time, and I was happy to take advantage of that, I’m releasing it as a super-sized episode, complete with the totally organic digression into the Friday the 13th franchise because Ben’s reactions to my descriptions of the movies were just too good to cut.
