If it’s Wednesday, it must be time for another Harbourfront Free Flicks screening — so come down and join me by the lake for Alfonso Cuaron’s terrific adaptation of A Little Princess.

It’s one of the very best things to come out of that ’90s wave of kid-lit movies, and I’d be willing to bet you’ve never seen it on a big screen … because, sadly, it just doesn’t get screened these days. Which is why I’m so happy to have been able to program it tonight, and why you should come down and see it.

I know, I know, I sound like a broken record. But these things are a lot more fun with company.
