The Wages of Fear

This week on Someone Else’s Movie, I tee up the What the Film Festival by featuring alumnus Zak Tatham, who brought Space Breakers there in 2016.

And Zak picked a film that just bristles with potential: William Friedkin’s Sorcerer, the 1977 remake of Wages of Fear that would have been hailed as a grim classic if not for the misfortune of opening in the summer of Star Wars, when no one had time for powerhouse formalist filmmaking.
